Of all the many bands I've seen, some many times, I'd never seen The Undertones. They played the start of a short tour in Dublin last Friday, at a small-ish venue called The Village which is where The Stranglers played last year. It was absolutely superb. No intro music, they just walk onstage, &qu...

ere Rich. Nice peice that from Moose..[/color] Absolutely - a really nice tribute from Moose. Speaking of Moose, apart from seeing him with New Model Army many times in the '80s, I saw him when he played bass with the Damned once at the Town & Country Club in London. I'd been drinking fairly he...

I've just heard the tragic news that Robb Heaton, original drummer with New Model Army (up until 1998) died last week at the age of 43. He was a brilliant drummer in a brilliant band.

Tragic news. RIP Robb.

Saw them at the Ambassador on Friday night. Tremendous gig. I'm not really into metal but I've always loved Motorhead from when I first heard Overkill. To me, they were more punk than metal. I'd been on the Guinness most of the day, so my memory isn't quite 100%, and I don't remember it being Iron ...

I've seen SLF 2-3 times every year since way back when and last night was one if not the best SLF gig I've ever been too. They were absolutely superb in a hot, sweaty packed Guildhall(great venue) The set-list was a dream if you were a fan containing all the classics and three of the best tracks fro...

Very very sad. One of the best bands ever. For me, "It's Alive" is the best live album ever made, bar none.

Yes, I've got the latest album - I think it's excellent. I missed them live recently, big mistake on my part. It seems that there's a lot of tension between Diggle & Shelley, but they're able to get on with it. Until James Anderson hits a six perhaps...

Buzzcocks: A Different Kind Of Tension Do you think that`s the best `Cocks album? Jim I think it's a brilliant album, right up there with the previous 2 - I was surprised by how much I enjoyed their recent stuff, I thought that it would be impossible to top their first 3 albums. Is Diggle's book wo...

New Model Army-The Ghost Of Cain Excellent choice, Mr Gizzard, I've been listening to a lot of NMA recently, from the Vengeance mini-LP right through to Eight. They've never made a bad album. I see that you're big into Killing Joke - absolute top quality, particularly Revelations imho. You have fin...
