Re: Cambridge
I was also at the Cambridge gig, my only one of this tour. I loved the 2 set format, shame it can't always be like this. The first set, what with all the epics played, was a treat ! Hallow, Raven, Genetix, Baroque, Sewer......, what more could you want. My only complaint - trying to get to the toil...

Re: Cambridge
Lost Control was the poorest choice from the Norfolk Coast album Someone in the band really must love it, they keep coming back to that one but I also think it is one of the weakest tracks on the Norfolk Coast cd Yes definitely, I suspect it is a "Baz favourite" as it's one of his songs i...

Re: The Anniversary Harrington Style Jacket.
Not really a Harrington type jacket is it and for £60 . Now if they had done a flight style jacket that I think would of been better ..blimey the amount of different flight jackets i used to have back in the day so love the stlye of it. The Harrington jacket they've got I don't think is all that tbh...

Re: Glasgow SEC ARMADILLO Stage Times
Gotta belated and quick review, so guess this is the place to stick it  A bit of context, after last years "Final" tour I reckoned that that was a suitable time for me to quit all this seeing The Stranglers live malarky, but, as luck would have it, my daughter got me a ticket for la...

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
I think Hugh came up with it. He was reading the Bible when he was in Pentonville and that sparked the connection. I imagine Jet would've assisted and encouraged it mind with his UFO interest Jim Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk Yes he would but it's possibly the Stranglers greatest album creati...

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
To me what I've heard is pretty good....The one who stood out on Hallow was JJ his bass was spot on as per usual he really is Mr Reliable not so sure about the guitar and vocals though tbh GB didn't impress me I really wish they would leave that song out now and especially the way it's being done an...

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
Nostalgia? Yeah sure. But, I must admit apart from the 81 gigs when I first saw them, every Stranglers' gig I have attended I have felt a bit of nostalgia (even from 83). Nostalgia and yearning for them to play songs from 77-80 - even when I was in my teens. Blame punk. Stan, even though I agree th...

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
It's Glasgow FFS, and it's a wonderful atmosphere ever time I've been ! Agreed I've never been there myself but all the gigs I've heard there from this band has been excellent with such a fantastic atmosphere too.....sounds a great venue to be a part of. I do miss the gigs and atmosphere and I can ...
