kenl wrote: 09 Mar 2024, 01:32 Well, quite a few rarities.

Not sure I've ever heard Hallow to Our Men live before and I've been going to see them since 78. Missed a few years when PR was in the band but not missed many tours.
They played it on the MIB tour 8)

Re: JJ in Classic Rock

“White Stallion, the closest The Stranglers have got to genius” ….. Somebody needs to call a nurse  I thought the same - JJ tends to forget its not teenagers anymore that hang on every word he says that read these articles anymore but adults in there 50+ that tend to roll their eyes at comment...

Re: Strangler in the light

If you define the "blame" as JJ holding grudges then that's in his remit. I don't get the feeling Hugh has a grudge against JJ - I think he's disappointed they couldn't remain on speaking terms or whatever. I can't for one second imagine Hugh writing a book like JJ's and going to town on ...

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?

Acoustic sets are old hat now, I find them pretty boring. On the other hand, artists like Frank Turner is still a good acoustic gig, and BW tbh though its quite a few years since I've seen him.

Re: Great Estate Festival 2024

It's age Jim - you'll be next! It is actually ... you come to realise they're just people who play music. I was a die hard fan, these days I have far more important people & things/hobbies in my life. When I do go to see them yeah I do enjoy ... but its also the social side of it I enjoy most. ...

What about Halifax or Rebellion??

Do you mean Scotland??

Not quite as far ... Durham area, tho Halifax isn't too bad.
You're getting to the "if they play my back garden I might see them" stage
