Re: Red Dwarf X
I caught the first episode of the new series, and I have to admit I wasn't too sure about what to think of it!

Re: Rolling Stones Gigs £400+ a ticket
If it involved getting in a time machine and seeing them in 1971, it might have been worth the price.

Personally, I'll take those first two Public Image Ltd. albums over everything the Sex Pistols ever did. Excellent music!

Re: Metallica... link to the Stranglers!
Well, the intro to 'See Me Coming' does remind me of the intro to '...And Justice For All' a little bit! While I'll never defend anything Metallica did after their self-titled album, I do have more than a soft spot for their 'Master Of Puppets' and '...And Justice For All' albums... they were at the...

Re: New Order in 2012
For me, it's really simple: both Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook were equally important to the sound of New Order, and without either of them it just isn't New Order. I've always found this band incredibly frustrating anyway; they've put out extremely killer singles throughout their entire career, but...

Re: Bruce Foxtons Album Pledge
I haven't even heard his first solo album, but I thought his writing with The Jam was patchy at best. For every moment of greatness like 'Smithers-Jones', 'Carnaby Street' or 'News Of The World', there'd be shite like 'The Night', 'London Traffic', 'Innocent Man' and 'Circus'.

Re: Ultravox - Brilliant album
I have a lot of time for Ultravox - I love the three albums with John Foxx (of which 'Systems Of Romance' is undoubtedly my favourite), and the first two albums with Midge ('Vienna' and 'Rage In Eden', although I could live without hearing the title track of the former ever again). After that they b...

Re: Metallica + Lou Reed - Lulu....
Well, Metallica have been tripe since the mid '90s and Lou has been tripe since the early '70s, so I wasn't expecting this record to deliver at all. And it didn't!
