Re: Anti Lydon Protest in Bristol last night
Am I missing the point? Hasn't Lydon said that he is interested in playing music to people, he isn't trying to make a political stance with respect to Tel Aviv etc? Isn't he on stage as a musician and not as a politician? That's how it should be in my book, Music over politics, music over war, PiL ...

Re: Anti Lydon Protest in Bristol last night
Didn't The Stranglers play Tel Aviv back in the day? I think the stranglers have played there twice, once in the Eighties and once more recently. It's also been suggested that members of the stranglers liked Margaret Thatcher back in the day, so expecting any kind of reasonable ethical stance from ...

Interesting website about old music festivals.....
Apologies if this page has been posted here I have a feeling it has, but could be mistaken :?: :?: Found this kind of amusing but blatantly written by a sad metal warrior type  "At one point there was a huge food/bottle/turf fight between a group of Punks and Rock fans. Well witty.Several ...

Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
End Game's actually no bad!!! A vast improvement on Hosanno's which was a let down following the 2003 self titled, imo one of the best maybe THE best albums in the Joke's 30 odd year career. I have been having a bit of Joke sesh this afternoon going through my vinyls and CD's and they reall are a ba...

Re: Arthur Street Greebling
I suspect that when weblord Jim returns from Disney World, he'll question why he bothers with this site. I expect the copper NTLB hands his case to will question why they became a cop, be interested to see if they take it seriously, they won't like the paper work, not sure if they will follow that ...

Well I feel safe seeing how level headed and without aggression these cops are trained for such situations, no problems of steroid addiction likely there then (NB Pic from Guardian website)

Re: The new Doctor Who
yes where's unbroken's contribution? it always feels a bit empty when a new season of Who ends, over all this season and the new doctor worked out a lot better than I had thought was going to be possible when I saw Matt Smith's announcement as Tennant's replacement. Smith has shown himself as a comp...

Re: The new Doctor Who
Gripping stuff and the first time that a menagerie of monsters has really been pulled off in a coherent fashion, I mean if you compare to The Five Doctors, and that best forgotten Dimensions in Time. Despite what some thought about the fan wank of Doomsday, I liked the bits with the dalek/cyber batt...
