Another Girl... is my favourite single of all time and in a burst of financial ecstacy I bought all their albums only to find that they are actually not very good.

I've been a fan of this lot for ages, especially her :-)

taped this as i was out at a gig. Look forward to seeing tonight. i played this album yesterday and was blown away yet again, it's a great powerful record which gives you a feeling of anger without resorting to cliche.

Great show but I was disappointed that we weren't treated to more early stuff. My favourite Hitchcock show occurred while he was supporting Billy Bragg. He came on stage to Something Better Change!

I'm more into 'is he good or is he faking?' solos like Another Girl Another Planet, or rubbish ones like Boredom.

This thread has made me dig out my Barret Lps (Floyd and solo). He was responsible for me growing my hair and the first Floyd album opened was very influential on my developing music taste, it lead to me loving the Meninblack album. Roger 'Syd' Barret was a great songwriter and an experimental guita...

No one could sing Peaches except Hugh. His stand offish, eccentric (maybe ironic) tone is perfect for this song. My ex was a feminist and she loved it because of the way Hugh delivered it, in the same way that she like Camus and the carry On films. Paul makes it too literal as did the great Ian Dury...

They used to have a place in the Lanes in Brighton. Occasionally if it was pissing down with rain and we had time to kill before getting the train, we'd go in... mainly to wind them up a bit. On one memorable (if a bit drunken) occasion, two of their number threw my mate down a flight of start.... ...
