Tottenham fans

I think after Spurs have had their worst start to a season in 96 years it would be the perfect opportunity for the band to re-record 96 Tears for the club.

Cry, Cry, Cry, now

On Holiday in Turkey. Was sent by the wife to buy the English newspapers and walked past a bar with a big crowd watching the TV. As I glanced in the Tv was showing the second plane hit TWC, I walked on thinking "Why are all these holiday makers watching a film in a bar in this weather". Wh...

Pride of place in our hallway goes to a signed dedicated picture of the band (markIII) that the wife managed to get me for my 40th, and she doesn't even like the band. She e-mailed JJ and sorted it. Best surprise ever.

I didn't get any pics but I know it must be on film somewhere as it was videoed. At the end of the gig during Punch and Judy there was a massive firework display over the sea and whilst Hugh was singing he glanced right to notice that the rest of the band had turned and were watching the fireworks.

I remember seeing the band play a free gig on the beach in Puerto de Mazaron in June 1990, one of Hugh's last. Great gig with big video screen hangning over harbour.
I used to live in Alicante, which is about a 2 hour drive away but Mazaron is a lovely part of the World. Enjoy your hols.

I agree, a fine choice. Also another great fav of mine is 'Marques de Riscal' which here in Ireland retails around €18 but well worth it.

I remember way back in November '90 when I was chatting to JJ about the said McCartney replacement for the Rainbow gigs, I think it was in the Sun actually, at which point JJ said that he had not heard that and it wouldn't have happened because JJ can't stand him.

59 times so far since '79. Mind you 3 years were spent living in Spain and 15 living in Ireland.
