Re: "Off the record" Gillingham 1982

Excellent show this and didn't get the same coverage as 'Rockstage', I think it was only shown in the TVS area, hence the lack of people with a decent copy. I remember seeing the review in Strangled No.12 and hoping it would be broadcast by the ITV network but it never happened. The band should have...

I think there was around 30 people standing watching at the start but towards the end more people seemed to appear and started dancing down the front for the last 4 or 5 songs. :|

Re: STRAIGHTEN OUT - 2013 TOUR

Went to Bathgate last night to see the band for the 1st time and thought they were pretty good (Really thought there would be a bigger crowd though). The only song that sounded really poor was 'Golden Brown' but to my surprise they played a few from 'Meninblack' and 'La Folie'. The band came on to W...

Re: Favourite Bass Guitar

These are my favourite basses for quality, tone and looks! Hand built in England too! JJ used one on the Meninback album apparently! http://walbasspictures.blogspot.co.uk/ He had a wal pro bass that he had in the 'Bear cage' video and I think also used it at the Rainbow gig when Hugh was in prison....

Re: Favourite Bass Guitar

I recently bought a USA Fender Precision as per JJ's old one (as regards colour). Lovely bass. 8)

Re: Ian Banks RIP

Great writer. BBC Scotland broadcasted an interview with him at his home in North Queensferry filmed only 3 weeks ago and he was in good spirits and talking about his new book (sounds like a great book) which incredibly has the main character getting terminal cancer (this was before he was diagnosed...

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires.

David Moyes I reckon will be Alex Ferguson's choice. He has done a great job at Everton over the past 11 years (with the limited resources he's had) and (for me) it would be a natural progression for him. Bags of EPL experience, lives locally and is a Scottish manger that Ferguson will probably feel...
