the worst career move was hiring paul as singer I agree. Paul would be great with a band like The Who but I don't think The Stranglers need a solo lead singer. With Paul or anyone else for that matter it just can't work. Bad Career Move. I don't think La Folie following up Golden Brown was a bad ca...

The Stranglers with a frontman doesn't work. Be it PR or whoever. People I know who have liked and seen The Stranglers MK1 say they just couldn't take to him. But, if it wasn't for Paul Roberts when Hugh suddenly announced his departure would The Stranglers still be together now? Currently Hugh on t...
Ayia Napa. A few times in the past 5 or 6 years. Mid July, Scorching Hot. Walking down the beach / along the coastal path heading East. The further you walk, just pure solitude. The sea, the sand.........and Feline blasting through the little headset! Nice.
I think it's difficult to guess which song off Suite XVI would be a hit. Particularly when it's Stranglers fans trying to predict what your main stream singles buyer would go for these days. Definitely the marketing has to be put in place. My guess though would be any track off the album with the ex...

I did get a JJ single, Girl from the Snow Country.....but it turned out to be a fake re-issue, luckily it didnt cost me much. DR I'm quite sure the 'fake re-issue' does carry some value. Obviously nothing like the original but i think even the 'fake re-issue' is quite difficult to get hold of now.
Bono, the lead signer of the band U2 is famous throughout the entertainment industry for being more than just a little self-righteous. He is playing a U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland when he asks the audience for total quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands, once every few se...

Manchester Academy is part of the University Complex, at the front, on Oxford Road. If I was you, I'd park on one of the roads opposite. Maybe near 'Jabez Cleggs' - a reasonably good watering hole usually frequented by quite a few fans - including myself! Or as Richinblack says.
