Re: Prince Harry

I am shocked at saddened that Prince Harry has let himself down, his country down and his regiment down.He needs to be reduced to the ranks or face a court martial for behaivour that is un becoming of an officer of Her Majesty's Forces. He is a bounder and an utter disgrace. And, like all the royals,...

Re: Ultravox - Brilliant album

To be fair, the song was referring to Ethiopia and only around 35% of the population in that country are muslim, the vast majority are christians and would celebrate the birth of Jesus. It's by and large the north african countries such as Tunisa and Egypt that are muslim. I'm sure Midge knew that ...

...it can seriously feck songs though - You look at Blur's "Universal" quite an anthemic ditty when that came out - Now it's the music to the British Gas advert (and always will be). Jim Found this, from David Byrne, "I feel like if you license a song to a television show or a film, people understa...

Re: The Clash, Beasties, Joy Division and the Artistic Roll

I love the fact that one day, back in the late '70s, probably,
Ian Curtis decided, for whatever reason, that for tonight's

Awesome!

Re: The Clash, Beasties, Joy Division and the Artistic Roll

I actually left a certain band's forum cos the in-crowd couldn't take me calling their precious band sell outs. It is selling out, no question, the issue is, how much does it matter? Not that much nowadays I think, what's more annoying is people defending the selling out as if it doesn't matter, as...

The Clash, Beasties, Joy Division and the Artistic Roll Call

Interesting article in yesterday's Guardian, the spirt of Bill Hicks lives on, it seems. " June British Airways premiered a TV advert intended to ram home its status as the "official airline partner" of the Olympics and Paralympics: 61 slightly alarming seconds, in which airliners taxied around the ...
