Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
I think the final nail in his coffin was JJ & BW writing together etc in a cottage down wherever it was .... And Paul's stuff was rejected. (Did I read PR pushed a tape/cd thought the door?) Yep, that's correct. What I do know was that there was a padded envelope on the doormat one morning with...

Agreed.parasiteinblack wrote: ↑17 Apr 2024, 06:55 That video is brilliant, it sounds great, the songs are great, the performances are great, Dave's got his decent-sounding keyboards...

Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
I don't get this JJ has dragged the group down scenario, the members of the band IMHO are high class, and you can't fool people,Baz does a great job as frontman,if they were crap no one would go and see them,I don't buy this shit that's it's people hanging on to something that's gone, just judge the ...

Re: Tour Epitaph
As someone who really wasn't looking forward to this tour,I felt it was a step to far,and even though I was ill and only saw first set,the truth is I was blown away by how good they were,of course it's only JJ as original member obviously, but Baz has earned the right to be up there and Jim and Toby...

Re: Tour Epitaph
Ok the tour is over, apart from the rearranged Bristol date, personally speaking I think the band have proved that they are still worthy of the Stranglers name with this tour, haven't played safe, have played songs that haven't been played since 1981,every gig seems to have been a blinder,of course J...

If I get more than 3 people voting in favour I'll lock this.

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
So much negativity on here, your supposed to be fans not haters. Being a fan of something doesn't mean you have to accept everything that they do, though. Also, many people here seem to be forgetting how much shit PR got thrown his way back in the day. None of it by me, might I add. I admit I'm in ...
