Re: magazine
Ah, the irony. The source of all great humour. And this coming from a man who was in a tribute band!!    Jim I can't believe you're all thinking of going to watch this travesty. For fuck's sake, Adamson's bassplaying is the core of Magazine! I put him in the same league o...

Re: Schools Out
I remember seeing this on TOTP at the time. I loved the original Alice Cooper group, and this was a very rare chance to see them on TV. Great song, and they had even better stuff on their albums. Producer Bob Ezrin had a lot to do with making them sound so good, in a similar way to Martin Rushent be...

Re: Top Three "They're shite!"
Tried to watch Foo Fighters on the TV coverage of the full live set at T in the Park. After four songs that sounded exactly the same (no melody, lots of noise, shouting and running about in a juvenile, macho kind of way), I switched off and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Re: The Scheme
It's quite ironic that the one with the most brains is the dog ("Bullet"), who, after witnessing one too many bust ups, fucks off pronto oot the scheme, gets knocked down by a car, stays in the vet's for a while cos his lovely owners won't pay the vet's bill, and ends up getting re-housed ...

Re: "NO MORE HEROES" A Tribute To The Stranglers CD
Yeah, I have this. Most of it is disappointing, stright copies but not very well done. There are one or two tracks where they try to do someting different with the song, not bad efforts. I wouldn't bother, if you don't have it. 8) Dont know if this topic has been on already. Anyone else heard this c...

Re: The Ruts
I was lucky enough to see The Ruts once, at Tiffany's in Edinburgh, 1980. They were excellent, a really great peformance. Supported that night by The Flys, who were also good, and Auntie Pus, who was rubbish and got completely covered in gob - dripping off his glasses! The Ruts are IMHO one of the b...

Undertones banter is prob the funniest I've heard recently. Mickey should be a stand up comedian.

Re: THE UNDERTONES - TRUE CONFESSIONS TOUR OF THE U.K.
KIng Tuts, Thursday past. Brilliant gig. The played their first album in its entirety, including Casbah Rock  , followed by well known singles (you know at least one of em  ) and early album tracks. One cover I've never heard before, and a couple of their recent songs. King Tut's was ram...
