Re: Bands you disliked but are now quite a fan of

ABBA. Thought they were naff in the 70's. My wife loves them and I have grown to appreciate their melodies and song writing skills. Off to the ABBA museum this summer in Stockholm. Imagine a Stranglers museum where you can take the place of Hugh Cornwell and sing along with a hologram JJ. interesti...

Re: No funding this year but if you want to do something amazing...

Finally, if you have donated and you're forum user name isn't in a fetching black colour (as part of the "Site Supporters" group) then let me know Jim well I did donate something and have done a few times in the past, so hopefully I'm part of the "fetching black colour club" [emoji16] anyway if onl...

Scary Monsters was great too, although I can't really stomach Fashion or Ashes to Ashes anymore these days.. Sent from my ...

Re: When Was The Last Time You Saw A Rat?

my own experience with mice is that you gotta stop the little fuckers coming in in the first place. Once they've set up home they'll keep coming if they can. You can trap / poisen/ kill some of them. But more keep coming. I spent a lot of time going around the outside of the house blocking any littl...

Re: RIP Pete Shelley

Only saw them live once, along with The Fall supporting them which was maybe 8 or 9 years ago. Very sad for yet another creat...

Re: I’m a Punk/New Waver ... Get Me Out Of Here!

I would think lydon would just slag off the Stranglers & JJ, like he did at Glastonbury when JJ said he wouldn't go and see them and they've only done one album...

Re: From The Jam

No not accoustic bass. Hastings played accoustic guitar and they slowed it ight dowm with laid back songs like Fly & That's entertainment. With hardly any drumming at all.

A nice interlude to a great gig !
