Re: The Damned Margate 19/12/16
The sound was the clearest I have heard a live band probably ever. I think the guy on the mixing desk knew what he was up to as well. I think they must have spent a few bob getting everything right that night. The sticks of rock they gave out (for free) are £10 on the pledge site.

The Damned Margate 19/12/16
Finally, after being cancelled on the 9th December, due to Dave V being ill, this gig actually happened (they also had to cancel a gig in Chatham as the venue went bust). The gig was recorded live and the cd available after the show. £20 for a double CD in a gatefold case. This was the clearest sound...

Re: Buzzcocks
Saw them last week at 'Dickens World' (Charles Dickinson victorian experience) in Chatham and they sounded great. Steve Diggle was very well behaved as well. Great venue if you get the chance. Also got a couple of metal Stranglers pin badges off the merch stall.

Re: scotland .anyone care?
Not really bothered, I live nearer to Paris than Scotland. I've got family who moved to the Highlands and there weren't many Scots living there. Lots living down south who seem very vocal but wouldn't dream of moving back up north.

Re: Inconsiderate Noisy Neighbours
We live in a university town so you can imagine what thats like. When they have a party there's always a girl who has to scream constantly and a boy (cant really call them men) who shouts like Brian Blessed. Don't matter where the party is its always the same. I have witnessed a neighbour go into th...

Re: England 2014 Word Cup Thread
Seriously suspect of Hodgsons choices against Uraguay. They have Hannibal Suarez just recovered from injury so Hodgson picks 5 of his Liverpool team mates to play against him. There were not going to tackle him. Thinking of next season not their country. Hes gone to Barcelona now so they should have...

Re: Gigs 2014
Going to The Great British Alternative Festival again at Butlins Minehead.
Great line up, Buzzcocks, Damned, Bad Manners, Rezillos plus loads more. Good mix this year, lots of punk bands.

Re: Best music film you have seen
Attended the premiere of Basically Johhny Moped at KoKo on the 19th Sept. Its directed by Captain Sensibles son, Fred Burns. Its a funny and poignant film and has interviews with Chrissie Hynde and Shane McGowan (although hes hard to understand). The band played after the film and they go to show yo...
