Burning Up Time - The Stranglers and Hugh Cornwell Unofficial Forums

"The Stranglers" touring can only be a benefit for Hugh (he's admitted it himself). He gets a cut, it keeps his legacy going (especially these greatest hits tours they keep doing), people probably question the "that's deffo not the original singer, I wonder what he's up to these days&...

I think I read somewhere that Hugh gets enough from Stranglers touring to fund his own tours etc. So he has the freedom to kinda play wherever and whenever he wants

I always got the impression Ally is slowed on purpose. There's that deliberate slow build up with the lighthouse effect then Hugh trying to be the Shadows with John Ellis.
